The Latvala Resort & Spa is Open for Visitors

This week I finished the guest bedroom and bathroom.  My mom is coming to visit in a couple weeks, and hopefully we will have a continuous stream of visitors this summer to help us enjoy the pool!  The guest bedroom and bath were just like Gemma's room, a blank canvas.  They had never been painted, and it doesn't even look like they had been used much at all!

You can't really tell from the pictures, the rooms were off white before and now they are light grey.  

Library/Office

I started priming the room intended as an office over a month ago!  Since we don't own a desk or desktop computer there really isn't a need for an "office", so we will use the room as a library.  Because we have books coming out of our ears!  The room was previously painted a crimson color...yuck.   It is finally finished!

Gemma's Room

Well, I finally finished Gemma's room!  Yes!!!  One more big check off the list!  It feels so good to make progress.

Here is a before picture.

It was pretty much a blank canvas.  It had never been painted in last 11 years since this house was built.  Of course I had to change that!

I painted the walls pink and grey, and made some curtains out of material from ikea.  It is so girly, just like Gemma!  She loves it, she says "my pink room, it's beautiful!"  

Master Bath

We plan on remodeling the master bathroom at some point.  It won't be for a few years, we want to tackle a kitchen remodel first.  In the mean time I had to repaint it.  It was painted a horrible gold-brown sponge paint.  

I'm working on the curtains for Gemma's room now, I hope to finish them tomorrow!  I'll post those pictures soon!!  I can't wait!  It's going to be my favorite room!!

New House!

Hello all!  I am so sorry for being MIA for so long!  As most of you know we recently (last week) moved to Houston!  We were all so sad to leave Oklahoma!  We are all forever Okies.  So, needless to say we have been in a crazy whirlwind packing (watching people pack our things), traveling and unpacking!  I thought I'd share some photos of the new house with y'all!  Before and after, you know me, I've got to make it mine!

Gemma's bathroom (jack & Jill)

It's amazing what a little paint will do!  I have Gemma's room painted too, but I haven't made the curtains yet!  I'll post it as soon as I get them finished (this weekend hopefully)!!
