Fruit Crowns

If you know Gemma, you know how much she loves Disney Princesses!
So, it should come as no surprise that her favorite magazine is the Disney Princess Magazine
(who knew such a thing existed?).  It is actually a really cute magazine, there are stories, crafts, and even a pull out poster!  In the latest issue there is a recipe for fruit crowns made out of pie crust.  It just happened that I had a store-bought pie crust in my fridge that needed to be used!  Below is our adventure in the kitchen!

Your Carriage Awaits

Chris surprised us with a bike trailer thing...subtle hinting that I need to get off my you know what!  Gemma loves it!  She calls it her cariage and me her coachman.  We're off to the ball!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Louisiana with Chris' mom and sister.  We had such a fun time visiting and playing with our cousins Ethan, Tyler and Jamison that I didn't take one picture!!  Unbelievable!  I did take a picture on the drive home...

A Girl and Her Dog

Sorry it's been a few weeks since my last post!  After my sister left Chris caught a cold and then of course Gemma caught it.  I didn't get sick, thank the heavens, but I'm just now recovering from playing nursemaid (my least favorite job!)!  Here are a few pics of Gemma and her best bud Oliver!  He's a snuggler!

Visit with Aunt Meg

My sister Megan came to hang out with us for the weekend!  We had a lot of fun, and we miss her so much already!

Oklahoma Trip

Last week Chris had to work in Oklahoma, so Gemma and I tagged along!  We visited Grandpa in Tulsa and went to the fair and pumpkin patch.  Then we spent the week with Grandma Connie, where we got to see Aunt Meg and some of our cousins too!

Battleship North Carolia

During our trip to Wilmington, NC we visited the Battleship North Carolina.  Chris and I are history geeks, and hope to instill the same love into Gemma.  This ship was great!  We have previously toured the USS Yorktown (a WWII air craft carrier) in Charleston, and this battleship was so much cooler...of course because it had guns...really big guns, and a lot of them!

This is when Gemma called it "creepy."

From the bow you could see downtown Wilmington.
